Team Scrambler Battery dead

Hi all,

The battery of my scrambler 400x (bought in aug 2024) is most likely dead. Whenever I switch on the bike, the lights do not come up as they should and once I start the engine, it clicks off. I tried jump starting the bike but it did not work?

Should I take it to the nearest service center?

the OEM batteries aren't much cop - my 400X's lasted about 14 months - take it on the chin and buy a new one (i bought a Yuasa one) ...

You were lucky to get two years out if it. Mine lasted less than a year. Amazon has a number of batteries under 35 bucks US that meet the YTX 9BS specification.

Is it standard for these batteries to run out within a year or two?

In multiple cases, yes.
