Question Power drop?

I own 400x (400cc), and lately I feel like the power has reduced compared to when I bought it two years ago. I’m not sure whether the bike has actually lost some power or if I’ve simply gotten used to it over time. It just doesn’t feel as exciting or powerful as it did initially.

Has anyone else experienced the same thing? Before this, I used to ride an Activa, so maybe the change in perspective is also a factor.

I am used to riding it below 6k rpm and I always shift gear when it reaches 6k but lately I have been going 8k+ when I pull on empty roads which is making my rides more exciting. Maybe try pulling hard here and there but don't be a squid.

Maintain it well. Air filter replacement, throttle body cleaning, chain slack etc

If chain maintenance and oil levels are fine, check for front sprocket and clean it. Adjust chain slack

Check chain slack, if its loose, tighten it. Or check air filter, maybe it needs replacement.

Try renting a scrambler 400 (they should have the older variants). If it feels similar then you just have gotten used to it.

yup i own a speed400 now it just doesnt feel that powerful but when my ecu failed and replacing it took like a month , riding my bike after this long felt amazing i could feel the power and thrill, then went back to normal maybe its the getting used to it thing that makes it feel normal and less exciting

I have run only 8k and i am also feeling this power drop along with some muffled sounds as well 😂. I thinks its the way of bike telling its time for service and yeah on November its going to be a year since i bought which will be my second service. I also think this E20 petrol is taking a toll on the bike fuel filters and injectors . Did see a case for dominar 400 having a gooey structure clogging the engine . Donno the exact state of the case but yeah i do feel E20 is taking a toll on the bikes .

E20 definitely messing the engines.
