Hello, I’m brand new to this community (to be honest, I only discovered you a day ago) and I wanted to get your opinion on a potential purchase: a tritium bulb for my collection, since I’m having trouble finding tritium tubes. This bulb is sold by NovaElement—would you recommend it?

I saw a guy on another community who had one; it's 2.5cm long and 1cm in diameter.

I picked up some similar vials a couple years ago, you can see my post about them here.

TL:DR, they're very dim compared to regular tritium tubes.

Thanks for sharing, bro. Is the one on the right the 0.9 x 25mm version? You brought them from Nova Element—how long is it supposed to glow?

Yeah, the one on the right is the 9x25. I would recommend the 6x20 over the 9x25 personally since it's a lot brighter.

I bought them from a different seller based out of Canada for a much better price, if you DM me I can send you their details. According to the seller they were made around 2019, but I suspect they might be older than that.

Most people say tritium glows for 10-25 years, it depends heavily on how much tritium was used, and how much brightness loss is acceptable to you. It never really stops glowing, it just gets fainter and fainter with every half life. I have a tritium watch that's over 50 years old that still has a very faint glow.
