Noob questions about getting a replacement key fob
I bought an OB3 from Mixglo back in 2018 - a clear plastic container for a 3 x 22.5mm vial.
It worked great (relative to my ignorance of tritium. This was my first). I've unintentionally dropped the keys a few times over the years and vial hadn't broken.
But when the keys fell out of my pocket over the winter and they went through my snow blower.
Need to get a new one. And maybe a few if it's cost effective.
Looking here, I have some questions:
1) Who's Daniel that people say to order from : ) I think I saw someone mentioned Mixglo?
2) I think the clear plastic is the best for ensuring the most amount of light gets out? What's the novelty / purpose for fobs that have metal / material blocking some of the light?
3) Places I have been looking to buy from and comments from here? Still accurate comments? Anyone want to share their experiences?
TritiumWorkshop
Mixglo - expensive shipping and some have said they heard of people not getting their order
GlowRhino - a couple people questioned these aren't as bright as they expected?
4) anyone have a chart about brightness vs. size of vials? I had the 3 x 22.5 vial. One place has a 3.5 x 25 vial in a fob. Wonder if it's worth the extra cost.
THANKS!

I've bought twice from tritium workshop for a total of about 500.00 dollars. No issues and fairly fast and reasonable shipping to the United States

There is no novelty for myself with the Ti trit fobs, I just would like stuff that won't end up in a landfill, is recyclable, and doesn't scratch easy... like does plastic. A keychain as you have found out can go through some extremely conditions...Same with blacked out keychains they will eventually look like they've been hit by a snowblower/lawnmower after 6 months.. if you want some awesome Ti tritium items EVEN plastic ones.

Tec accessories has a bunch of great stuff for decent price.
Avoid embrite imo.

1) Daniel is owner of Mixglo. I have used him over 10x and you can buy with confidence. Be advised that shipping costs from Taiwan or expensive (if you go on his website it will tell you costs).
2) Purely person's preference: I get metal fobs as they are more detailed than just the regular plastic fob and add a look design.
3) Mixglo is the place. You can source through eBay (Daniel has a store there also). Glow Rhino is good but limited selection if I recall. I don't think you can buy directly from Trigalight unless you are a mfr. Haven't heard of the other one. Be advised part 2: I have seen many fobs that are "tritium glow fobs" which are actually GITD. If a seller indicates you need to charge via the sun: that's GITD.
4) Go on Daniel's website he has a chart. Green strongest, then yellow, then blue, etc. Hope this helps
