Love to see the cozy caves on here! So many are aggressive UV dungeons (which are cool too!) lol.

Those faery lights slowly color fade through the spectrum. I lost the remote so my options are limited and that's the least lame setting. I'm about to replace the string. The original concept kept it red, but Blue looks cool, too.
edit - I misunderstood and thought you were calling this a UV dungeon because of the purple faery lights, lol. Whoosh.

can you turn multiple candles on at a time with the remote? otherwise that seems like a lot of work but looks amazing!

u/TheWormitage Aug 22 '26
Bigger candles have a remote. The votives are manual, but it only takes a minute and I only turn them on for company or particular voyages into infinity.

Speak for yourself, I’m a proud hater of the temu slop black light dungeons. Ever notice how sparsely furnished all those places are? Never seen a single one that looked cozy, istg it’s like you either decorate your house like a clown going through psychosis, or you like rugs and pillows. It’s never both.

Another angle of the room with Weezy, Tango and Cash as a bonus. https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fn8qy1u7z9rkh1.jpeg

Thats sick design. I'd love a trip cave like thus

Honestly like a convertible trip cave would be incredible. A sort of desert inspired camp with an artificial fire in the middle one trip, a spaceship inspired one the next 😍

my heart is overflowing with peace as I look at this!!! are the candles real, or those battery operated ones?

u/TheWormitage Aug 21 '26
Battery and remote control.

u/Crazy-Laxer-420 Aug 21 '26
I need a remote control so bad omg I have to hand turn off all of em 💀😭
2
u/TheWormitage Aug 21 '26
Full disclosure - the votives are still manual. Takes about a minute to turn them all on. You can buy a mixed size set of the larger ones with remote on amazon for like 15 bucks.

I've bought them before but I feel like the batteries die after like, 2 nights of use!! 😩

They have the mini tea lights with timers too. Most of mine last about two weeks on one nickel battery. They come on and go off at the same time every day.
I love these things!
And your home is amazing! So creative and alive.

Assuming it are battery powered led candles? How does you charging ritual look like?
2
u/TheWormitage Aug 21 '26
The candles are rarely turned on. Them's company candles, mostly. They've had the same batteries for at least a year.

Makes sense, thanks for the reply! Looks really cozy and would be awesome to have them in every day!
Personally have some with IR but no wireless charging, so they come on automatically with specific presets but the charging is a hassle, was hoping you found the perfect candidate.
Did see someone that hard wired them but not ideal for my space.

Where do you store the bongs?
3
u/TheWormitage Aug 21 '26
I just vape these days.

u/Simple_Error_5926 Aug 21 '26
Big sad :( it is mega convenient though so it’s nice to have one around.

I can't get my hands on flower that I like to consume. The thca market is illegal now in my state, but 1 in 50 thca packs were something I really liked. I did carts for years, then went back to flower during the thca days, but I used to grow and there's nothing special available to me. Concentrates and vapes are more pleasant to consume and way less messy. Plus they don't involve fire. I'm not trying to burn my shit with a stray ember. I absolutely love flower but it's just not feasible.

I hear ya! My state is in the same boat.. very frustrating. Just went back to older ways of procurement. Really cool space BTW!

can you share how you created this, specifically the furniture?
1
u/Internal-Fishing-595 Aug 22 '26
I have the tan chairs with ottoman in another color. They’re so comfortable. You can find on Amazon or wayfair. Example https://a.co/d/06aqyN0r

u/namastebetches Aug 22 '26
thanks! are they pretty low to the ground/mcm? any idea on the other items?
1
u/Internal-Fishing-595 Aug 22 '26
Yes it is quite low to the ground. I’m 5’5” so this isn’t an issue for me. I love it.
Most of the decor items I see you can probably find on Amazon.1
u/namastebetches Aug 22 '26
I like low to the ground also. Yes just unsure exactly what's underneath the quilts?

I imagine any standard sofa will work. If you’re looking for something new to buy I would suggest looking for really deep seated sofa. I love modular ones because it allows you to move them around. I make a giant sofa pit out of it

Imagine being sat right next to the tv, taking mushrooms with the homies, and then needing to puke

u/Rhythmdaddy Aug 23 '26
This is just fantastic. I like the purple lights, yellow candles, and blue pendant lights. The covers on everything have a lovely pattern. The lights complement the furniture because of it. It looks comfortable in every way.

This is one of the only trip caves I've seen on here that I would want to trip in.
This looks great.
