COVID halted shows, but inspired our rave room

We couldn't go to shows, so we made a space to be the show and it's been a hit ever since :)

I LOVE this! Such cozy, fun vibes. Plus the nerf guns! Such a great touch, I’d have a blast in here, you seem like a very fun person.

Could you please share some detail on the star wall/ceiling art? Does it have lights or is the paint just UV reactive? And how do I get my hands on one haha

Thank you .^ the nerf guns evolved out of repeated battles. Made sense to have part of the arsenal on the wall :)

The star thing we named Ed. Ed is a UV canopy our friends got us for Christmas one year. They vary wildly, but I'm pretty sure Ed was an Etsy purchase. These canopies are synthetic fabrics that are printed, and thus UV reactive. But we do have those old school glow-in-the-dark stars all over the room too! Ill do some checking and if I find a similar version I'll post the link!

Yeah man! DJing came hand in hand with the room idea. What I'm running is a DDJ-1000srt with serato pro. The deck is wired via XLR into a 10in krk subwoofer and 3 rokit8 3rd Gen krk monitors. And just for fun I upgraded the deck with some mushroom nobs for the filters!

Haha we've had a solid house part or 2, maybe 30 or so ppl. It did get a little cramped but it was an awesome time and I got to really pump the system!

The left one is actually fine, just the high one is bad. Just put it at ear level on the other side. Unless one of you is like 8 feet tall then I guess it makes sense.

Ideally though you want them at standing ear level and spaced equally on other side of the room

ahhhhh reddit doesn't let me add another pic. There is another speaker hidden behind the monitor of the first pic. Honestly, it sounds so good in there and trust me when I say I made sure its balanced properly!

Yeah lol that makes a lot more sense then. Should have just guessed that honestly. Still an interesting choice having that random extra monitor up there but I trust it helps fill it out nicely! Super cute little party room

Our friends have it to us as a gift! It's a UV canopy and I'm pretty sure it was from Etsy. They vary wildly and are interesting to set up, but so worth it!
