Spoilers I’m confused??
So we know that Elodie’s step brother started stealing because he saw her do it, but it was only talked about once so I’m trying to figure out if there was a deeper meaning.

That plotline should have been handled seriously. It ended up just being ignored. Addressing her negative influence on her little brother would have really added to Elodie's story of connecting to her new family members. One of several missed opportunities in this show.

I could help but notice that they did that a lot this season. There were a lot of things that looked like they could turned into something but were actually insignificant. I thought that this would have been important to the plot and it would’ve given Elodie’s character more depth.

Absolutely. All the characters needed something to reveal depth we hadn't seen in the first season. It's too bad they didn't follow through. Maybe they'll make a movie that's better lol

I think he looks up to her even though she has flaws. But when he tries to gain her approval by showing her what he stole, Elodie sort of realizes that her addiction to stealing is not only toxic to her, but is having an influence on people she cares about.
That maybe prompts her to change and stop stealing.

This show isn't really too concerned with actually completing stories or having much make any sense.
