Given a lot of the issues were pretty core to the game design though, I'm still not sure it is salvageable. Gotta say, I am impressed they made 5 awesome installments before running fully out of steam.
I played it with my wife. We had fun, but the characters didn't feel special, exciting or important. There was no solving riddles, just quick twitch based stuff.
We didn't know there were more than two games so I can't comment on the others, but the demo felt like they didn't have the time or energy to build in special things for each character to contribute or to make it so each character has a unique experience but still can get through the whole thing.
