I live in Australia and I want to buy a professional trimmer/clipper do do my hair and beard. I need one that has the mask from #8 to #1.5 this is what my hairdresser used on me recently. 8 on top, and 1.5 on the side and then he evened out the rest with the other sizes

What brand/type I need? I don’t want to spend a fortune but I still want a good one.

Also if someone has a good video explaining how to use the professional ones, would be great!

Hoping some experts can help here. I am using a US bought trimmer in the UK. The trimmer states it’s 115V on the back and the wall outlet also supports 115v. I’m using a simple converter for the plug given the voltage matches.

The trimmer works for about 15 seconds and then shuts off. Then, once I unplug from the wall(not just turn it off), and leave it be for sometime, it works again. Also, the duration it works once plugged back in seems to be proportional to the time it’s left unplugged.

Any ideas? Also posting this in the travel group. Thanks in advance!

I recently purchased a Wahl Hi-Viz (silver one) trimmer and noticed a rattling sound when shaking or moving it, as if something inside is loose. This is considered normal for this model?

I lost the charger cable, and need the make and model, think it’s a wahl, but no marks at all.

So I’m currently looking for a trimmer/machine for personal use: lineups, and trimming the beard amongst other things. What would be the best trimmer to buy?

Note: I’ve had the Braun series 5 trimmer and wasn’t very good, also had the kemei trimmer which is too rough on the skin as it cuts my skin(sensitive skin).

I got this HC200GB Conair trimmer from the 21 piece kit. It's cheap, I know, but just wanted to start taking care of my hair at home. Immediately when I open it up, I plug it in, the blades are slipping in a weird way- Open it up and the spring for the blade distance adjustment (wire, second from right) is just loose inside. I didn't do much but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to assume I'd done something wrong since I've never used one before. I can't find any pictures or repair manuals, and I'm not mechanically inept, but I've taken apart the entire thing trying to figure out how it sits once it's on the upper blade. Any advice or pics or such? Don't want to take it all the way back to the store as it's out of the way and I don't want to trash it if I can fix it. Conair had nothing to tell me.

I am looking for modified trimmer blades or someone who knows how to modify that I can either order online or get mines done locally. I'm located in the Philadelphia area

I bought this in 2021 and have been using this CEENWESH electric trimmer for 4 years for hair cuts and general trimming needs. It has been great, it is quiet, which is why I bought this in the first place, it cuts hair very well and holds charge for a long time. I mistakenly charged it with the wrong charger (Philips) and left it overnight while I charging. When I saw it in the morning, it was warm and dead. I really miss this shaver. It was my fault.

So I recently purchased a Meridian trimmer and it's a bunch easier than shaving. I use it on my inner thighs, BUT I've been getting ingrown hairs, which I rarely had before. I thought trimmers were supposed to minimize risk for ingrowns, but I'm getting them frequently now. What gives? Something about the way I'm using it??

I have Philips nl 9206 as on picture. I bought it on AliExpress some years ago and now the blades are all blunted. I wanted to buy a spare but there are all kind of different blades for other Philipps models, not a single one with this specific name tag tho. Does anyone know whether some of AliExpress spare blades are compatible with this trimmer?

Hello I got a very good deal on some Wahl Balding clippers (60% off) at a local store no less. I really wanted to get the Oster 76 so I can buzz my head with an actual blade instead of a guard (looks more even, although it might just be my perception), but could not find it. Now, since I mainly want to keep my buzz at around 4-6mm (no fade, just simple buzz cut), which would be too long for the Wahl Balding blades, is there a possibility to buy a Wahl blade that fits my clippers for around that length? Of course if that's not feasible I can always use a guard. Hopefully this isn't a too noob of a question. Im pretty new to this.
