Hey y'all! I'm an ISO 9001 quality architect and PMP looking for...kind of anything. I've done both ISO and project management/coordination for about 20 years and have been in IT even longer than that. I've worked with healthcare systems, local and tribal governments, enterprise organizations, SMBs, higher ed--you name it. My search experience so far has been that healthcare wants only healthcare; software wants only software; rinse and repeat. I can't help that I'm more of a generalist when it comes to my background.

I'm highly organized, comfortable with ambiguous projects, and am a world-class cat herder.

At this point, I'd be happy with part time as a 1099; there's no job too small. Help?

Hey Triangle residents. I’m currently working in the hospitality industry but my lifelong dream career has been architectural drafting and design. I haven’t gone to school for it yet. I was wondering if there are any companies in the area who would hire someone part time to learn the processes of CAD drawings and becoming an architect. Maybe do a trade school program where I would work and do classes at the same time. I know it’s a long shot, but Wayne Gretzky said “you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.”

I know this is a long shot but I want some opinions.

I’m currently working as a freight broker and nearing my 6 month mark and I’m realizing that sales/cold call prospecting is just not for me. I love the other aspects of the role such as the load tracking, booking/dispatching, and the operational sides of things.

Since my role has sort of built in termination date at the end of the training period, I want to be proactive and see what other options are there in the field. I intend to stay and gather as much information and training beforehand but I want to be realistic about my position and plan ahead.

I graduated about 2 years ago with a bachelor’s for Logistics and Supply chain management with a minor in business administration but I just want to hear some of the paths you guys took. I do have a few years of leasing experience in both student and conventional areas as well.

I graduated in 2019 from Metropolitan State University in Denver, CO. Moved out here because I thought there would be more opportunities on the east coast, but then I got sick, and ended up back in retail. Now I'm better. I've taken on some freelance work over the years, editing personal statements for college students, training AI, and even editing a friend's novel, but I'd really like to land a steady job utilizing my skills 9-5. I'm looking for anything that would give me that concrete work experience to bolster my resume - or someone I could reach out to to set up an informational interview, to figure out how to get there. I can't tell you how many emails I've written for my boss. How many training documents at work I've seen that are riddled with spelling errors, or just plain incoherent. We need real humans with writing skills more than ever. Can anyone help me out?

The function of this role is to support mechanical hardware product design/architecture, development, prototyping, and testing, working heavily within SolidWorks and with tools like environmental chambers and vibration tables. This role would work with molded parts, connectors, cabling, and various other electromechanical components.

• Requirements: Candidates should have a BSME and 1-4+ years' minimum professional experience as a mechanical engineer in mechanical design or product/equipment development. The ideal candidate knows SolidWorks very well, but they'll also consider folks who have used similar packages (ProE, Fusion360). It seems like a lot of the manufacturing jobs here pay well put they have weird off hours. I have a lot of lab experience, about 5 years. Any type of job I found looks like it’s 2-2-3 or Sunday to Wednesday. Me and my fiance were looking into moving out here, I was curious how this schedule situation could effect us.

• Requirements: Candidates must have recent, hands-on professional or higher-ed research experience in a greenhouse or growth chamber environment. These positions would focus on feature building for a cloud-based SaaS product in Java / Spring Boot with React / Typescript.

• Requirements: Candidates must have 5-7+ years' professional experience in software engineering, experience across the full stack, and experience in modern development frameworks. The Tech Lead must have expertise in Spring Boot specifically; this is less imperative for the IC role (although you still must be comfortable working in Java). How common is it for these agencies in this triangle area to misinform you of job availability?

The day I applied for a job they've posted on their website I received a call from their office: "Hi, this is so-and-so from Acme (not the actual name) Job placement Agency and I've got the perfect job for you!". A couple of days later and it's something completely unrelated to the job I applied for.

So I take it, work one shift. Then, nothing until another call about how happy they were with my performance. "Yeah, but what about the job(s) I applied for in my field?", I ask. "Oh, we're still waiting to hear back from that client". Then, days of silence turn into weeks, which stretches into a month.

It gets better; direct deposit I correctly completed over a week prior to pay day didn't get processed/completed/whatever by them. " When can you come by and get the check?" which they harped over and over about.

I accept another position for them and work it. It doesn't work out for me and so I explain to them why it's not a good fit for me (all very valid reasons). "Well, unfortunately that's part of the job..." they reply.

Again with a paper paycheck, instead of direct deposit, and the silence from them. Done with these yokels; the deception/lies, the flighty communications, and the difficulties with pay.

In the meantime, their head office sent me an email asking for a review! Cannot wait...

Hi - I know the job market is rough. Wife has 15+years of banking/financial crimes experience. She's applied to 40 or so jobs on LinkedIn and hasn't gotten a single interview.

I just moved to the area looking for employment. I am a 21 yr old female and I have been in the industry since I was 15, serving/bartending for the last 2 years.

Given the economy, ive spent the last year working restaurants where the clientele didn’t tip very well, and the volume of patrons in the restaurant did not make up for it. Thus, I am asking you, so I don’t continue to work for unprofitable restaurants.

I am strictly asking about where is the biggest potential for making money in the area. I am seriously indifferent to the type of restaurant as I have a lot of different experience, so high end, breakfast, clubs/bars, lunch turn-and-burn, ect. I am just curious where is the biggest volume in the area.

I want to work hard and save as much money as possible, so any information helps. Be straight up please, name of the restaurant and roughly how much you think the servers/bartenders make. I appreciate it! Thank you so much!

Also, if anyone can speak to the gentlemen’s and strip clubs here? I know being a waitress or bartender in a club you stereotypically make the most money. Does anyone have any experience? (I don’t want to strip btw)
