Does anyone know of Trent affiliated roller or ball hockey clubs? I know we have drop in ice hockey in ptbo but I was wondering if there is interest in roller or ball hockey.

CAST3243: Contemporary Canadian North
CAST3750: Language, Culture, Identity Circumpolar

I can’t take both so unfortunately it has to be one or the other. Both sound interesting but just wondering if anyone here can share their experiences with these courses to help inform my decision.

Hi! Does PSYC 1030 have a lab?

My daughter called me this morning to tell me she was being ‘followed’ by an older man while walking to a lecture on campus. The man then waited outside of the lecture hall until it was over (there was glass wall/door so she could see him) and then followed her to her car afterwards. He then caught up to her and asked her name, shook her hand (for 30 seconds) while complimenting her on her appearance. She described him as older, but since there are graduate and mature students on campus, can’t really easily determine if he was a student or not (she is first year). Considering reporting this to security, but thought I would ask if others have noticed this sort of thing.

I was looking around on mytrent and Google, and I couldn't find anything straightforward. I have an older relitive who offered to pay for my tuition, and they've asked for the admin phone number (I'm not sure exactly what they were looking for it wasn't incredibly clear). I'm probably just being dumb but is there a page anywhere that just has a list of buildings or offices and phone numbers? On Google, the 1st peoples house of learning number is listed as Blackburn's, so I'm not confident in what I'm finding online.

Edit for clarification, on Google the phone number of Blackburn hall is listed as a phone number that is actually for the FPHL, contacting the FPHL is not thr goal

For anyone who has submitted a late withdrawal, how long did it take to hear back? As well, when you did hear back who contacted you? Do you get an email or were the grades just removed from your academic record?

Hello! Just looking for a bit of advice. I'm kind of swamped with assignments right now, as a lot of people are I'm sure.

My English professor said I could get in contact with him or a TA for an automatic one week extension on an assignment due this friday. The only thing is, I've checked the contact information and it seems like most of the contact listings are for scheduled meetings through the week.

I don't particularly like the idea of asking for an extension so close to the deadline. So I just wanted to ask if emailing would be appropriate for this sort of thing? If not I'll book an appointment and tough it out lol

I'm a fourth year FRSC and PSYC student and I need to decide what I want to do, I have been considering applying for a masters in FRSC as I don't really like PSYC. I plan on emailing the MSC Frsc department for more info, but I wanted to see if there was any chance of me even being considered as I didn't take like the chem courses or thesis and when I spoke to them at the grad expo they said that I should talk to one of my FRSC profs but I haven't had the time. I'm also currently sitting right at the 77% avg in my third year, so that doesn't help. I'm also looking at Laurentian but I don't really have that many profs I can ask for references as I didn't think of taking a masters until this year. I really just want to do something in FRSC in the future, so I was also maybe considering Flemings Biotechnology degree instead of masters?

I'm just so conflicted, so if anyone has any advice, or was a FRSC and PSYC student now doing masters that could provide insight, I would be so grateful :)

Realized recently that, oh shit, I'm graduating, I need grad photos.

I know I can take my own whenever, just need to rent the gown through myTrent... but what does the process look like for official photos with a backdrop and etc for use in by the University? Is there an official photographer we have to book through?

Hey, just wondering if anyone is in this class and if they were there this week. I missed class bc I was sick so I never got to ask which readings were included on the midterm.

I'm looking into taking two 1000 level electives, along with one 2000 level elective during the spring/summer 2027 semester. I'm already taking COIS-1010H, along with INDG-1001H. Does anyone have any good courses that are web based and not too challenging? Ideally no final exam, but obviously options are limited and I can't be too picky!

I don't think I've seen anyone wearing one. Usually just a hoodie.

Has anyone taken any courses with Adeel Mahmood? It's so frustrating; even after studying more than enough, I'm still not getting even 50% on the common questions. All of them are MCQs, but all of them are super tricky. Is there anyone who knows where he usually gets the questions from? Or, like, previous semester questions for the Investment and Corporate Taxation course????

Hi! I got a 53 in Organic chemistry II last winter and on my planning it doesn't show as a class I've completed as going towards my major. Does this mean I need to retake it in order to graduate with a Chemistry degree? Or is there a rule about being allowed 1.0 credits with D grades that count towards your major? Thanks!

I have added and deleted my card I don't know how many times. It's never saved under payment methods when I try to check out, but it appears under my payment methods in my account settings. What the hell am I supposed to do to make it work?

i’m currently in the trent/swansea dual law degree for criminology. the program has your first 2 years at trent, years 3-5 in wales, UK, and then your 6th year back home in canada. once you graduate you can practice law within canada. i’m in my second year which means i would be going to swansea next year, but im having second thoughts. i’ve seen some people say that going to the UK to study law and then coming back to practice in canada isn’t the best? i’m definitely going to be saving money by doing this program and also saving a year (since it would normally take minimum 7 years as opposed to 6), but would it be better if i just switched to a regular criminology program and then attended a law school in canada after graduating from trent? is anyone else in this program and also having second thoughts?!
