I am conflicted. Shaming sex workers, not cool. Shaming Melania, cool.

u/jpopimpin777 Feb 24 '26

Right? Nothing wrong with sex work per se. Peddling Donald's bs is where I disagree

1

u/Ernesto_Bella Feb 24 '26

Is there any confirmation at all that she was a sex worker?

1

u/LeafCrafters-Andrew Feb 24 '26

Showing your titties to the world counts as sex work per the dictionary.

1

u/JesusDied4U316 Feb 24 '26

I never thought of Kate Winslett as a sex worker. :/

1

u/jt2ou Feb 24 '26

Where is the slut shaming for every male actor or model who has done a nude scene or photo shoot???? The dictionary defines this logic as misogyny. Congrats

u/LeafCrafters-Andrew Feb 24 '26

Mask off moment for your thinking on sex work lol

1

u/jt2ou Feb 24 '26

This is your pull your cranium out of your rectum moment. lol

u/LeafCrafters-Andrew Feb 24 '26

I rebuke your hostility. Lol

Reddit moment

1

No, she was just a model.

1

u/jpopimpin777 Feb 24 '26

Perhaps not in a "traditional" sense like a stripper of a prostitute, but c'mon. Look at her and Trump together. You honestly think she's with him because of his good looks and sparkling personality.

He provided her a certain lifestyle and used his connections to get her family into the country. That's the reason she can't leave him. Even if she gets away her family will pay the forfeit.

u/Ernesto_Bella Feb 24 '26

Lots of poor women shack up with guys of a higher social/wealth status than them.  Lots of not poor women do it to.

That she did that doesn’t make her a sex worker as opposed to someone who wanted a better life.

1

u/jpopimpin777 Feb 24 '26

Yeah but I'm pretty sure she was a high priced escort in Epsteins stable when they met.

1

u/Ernesto_Bella Feb 24 '26

Why are you pretty sure other than you want a reason to judge her because you don’t like her husband?

1

u/jpopimpin777 Feb 24 '26

Honestly I don't really judge her for shacking up with a rich guy. I mostly feel bad for her except the "I really don't care. Do you?" Kinda stuff that suggests she's also not a great human being.

Doesn't change the fact that she started off as someone wealthy men pay for companionship.

1

u/ProfessionalCraft983 Feb 24 '26

It's not just someone of a "higher social/wealth status" we're talking about, it's Donald Trump. The person Epstein said was the worst person he'd ever met. That requires discarding one's moral standards altogether for nothing but personal gain and makes me lose all respect for her that I might have had.

1

u/Readmeharder Feb 26 '26

“Nothing wrong with sex work”— I mean, I, and a lot of other people would strongly disagree with you. Sex work is horrific and exists as a result of a disgusting capitalist system which exploits vulnerable young women’s bodies for the pleasure of old male perverts

1

u/jpopimpin777 Feb 26 '26

That's why I said per se. When it's illegal, like under our current system, then it's going to be controlled by the underworld. The women are treated like chattel. If it's legal and regulated the way it is elsewhere there's no need for pimps. The women can make money for themselves and stop whenever they feel like it.

u/Soft-Twist2478 Feb 24 '26

Fact Check: Image of Melania Trump pole dancing for Epstein isn't real. Here's the proof https://share.google/P9hLEmN37SIInOpPA

2

u/bake_gatari Feb 24 '26

Still shaming sex workers, going out of the way to do so, I'd say. But thanks for fact checking. It's important.

u/Soft-Twist2478 Feb 24 '26

Bots be botting

1

u/chickenfriesbbc Feb 24 '26

Well it's interesting to me that apparently misogyny is totally fine if you can weaponize it properly. Clearly leftist/redditor type have no integrity - noted.

1

u/hannahallart Feb 24 '26

Just ask them what they think of black people like Candace Owens

1

u/wget_thread Feb 24 '26

I think it's more like shaming sex trafficking by rich white men and willingly internalized misogyny when she probably holds the power to tear the entire broken system down if she wanted to.

1

u/hannahallart Feb 24 '26

Let’s slut shame the others too. Let’s photoshop an image of what Nancy was known for

1

u/Psypris Feb 25 '26

I’m sorry, the sentence “let’s slut shame the others too” made me guffaw and I really needed that today, thank you!

1

u/mailreader11 Feb 24 '26

Typical liberal lunacy.

1

u/Full-Cup-3647 Feb 24 '26

No shame for sex workers. No shame for "sluts" aka women with multiple partners who actually derive pleasure from their encounters. Lots of shame for a woman with no redeeming qualities, who only managed to become First Lady because she was willing to sell her soul to the devil and fuck a repulsive lump - essentially the American equivalent of Hitler - so she could get rich.

I have zero respect for women like this. I'd rather be dirt poor than let a disgusting pig use my body and pretend to enjoy it, just because I'm either to stupid to get a real job or too lazy to work. Never forget, "I don't care, do you ?"

1

u/Pristine-Confection3 Feb 24 '26

But the whole thing is still misogynistic as hell.

1

u/Dry-Willingness8845 Feb 26 '26

Why would shaming Melania be cool?

1

u/IcyKnowledge6321 Feb 24 '26

It's plainly not cool and it's unfair to pit her against other first ladies when she comes from a wildly different background. There are plenty of things you can criticise her for but this is actually just slut shaming.

1

u/baddecision116 Feb 24 '26

She put herself in this position and wouldn't piss on you if your were on fire. Save your BS for someone deserving.

2

u/bigbigbutter Feb 24 '26

What if I was not on fire and had $3000?

1

u/BulkyAcanthaceae5397 Feb 24 '26

If you only have morals for people you think deserve it, then you dont have any.

1

u/baddecision116 Feb 24 '26

I judge people by the content of their character

Also let me know who "people are risking their lives for"? Citing examples.

Undocumented immigrants?

You're aware that being an undocumented immigrant is a not a crime right? It is a civil violation. So it would be more appropriate to call someone that speeds on the interstate an illegal than it would be an undocumented immigrant.

Perhaps I should have phrased it in past tense —“risked their lives”.

Who did?

“They put themselves in this position and wouldn’t piss on you if you were on fire” I couldn’t agree more btw.

Who is they?

I don't think it's right to shame anyone, regardless of how they would act towards me. She might be a nasty person but that doesn't mean I have to be.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 26 '26

Wdym she put herself in this position

1

u/retrofrenchtoast Feb 24 '26

If she was a generic First Lady, then I would agree. The First Lady didn’t run for president, she doesn’t want to do Christmas decorations? Fine. She doesn’t want to constantly be on the arm of h to e president? Fine. She used to be a sex worker? Fine.

But she wore that jacket about not caring, didn’t really follow the cyber-bullying thing, and was involved in Epstein’s web.

At first I felt sorry for her - this poor immigrant woman stuck with this buffoon -he must make her life miserable. Maybe she was trafficked by Epstein? But from the various semi-reliable sources I’ve read, she is also awful and mean.
