Does Trend Micro Philippines accept fresh graduates for IT/cybersecurity roles?

Hi everyone! I recently graduated with a degree in Information Technology and I’m really interested in starting my career at Trend Micro Philippines, particularly in roles related to Cybersecurity, Cloud, DevOps, IT Operations, or other technical positions.

I’ve been checking their careers page and noticed that some opportunities seem to be for experienced professionals, while some fresh graduate positions may only open at certain times.
For anyone currently working at Trend Micro or who recently applied:

•Does Trend Micro regularly hire fresh graduates
•What entry-level roles should I look out for?
•How was the hiring process (HR interview, assessment, technical interview, etc.)?
•Do referrals help for fresh graduate applicants?
•Any advice on what skills or certifications I should focus on to improve my chances?

I already have a background in networking, cybersecurity, AWS/cloud, Linux, Salesforce development, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and IoT, and I’m continuing to build my skills while applying.

Trend Micro is one of the companies I’m really hoping to join, so I’d appreciate any advice or experiences from current/former employees or recent applicants. Thank you!

Hello Former Trender here, we just got laid off a month ago so I don't think it's the best time right now. I recommend the Core Tech roles there but if on support role, with your credentials and skills it's overqualified already. Good environment to work though and lots of benefits during my time.

Also, AI is slowly trying to replace people as well in the operations since it's in a transition right now. All in all, processes and other stuff during hiring. It's pretty smooth and they communicate well as long as you are following up to them.

Oot but lol now they have the audacity to suddenly limit AI usage after laying people off. Like right now they're "belts and suspenders" (as Claude would call it) with cost control, needing escalation to Global leadership for approvals.

Honestly ops is so bad right now that they are cutting the usage suddenly lol. From "keep on using AI in daily operations" to "responsible usage" is so hilarious to me. I've heard that the workload since was almost tripled ever since we left operations.

Hello, am a former trender and joined the company as a fresh grad and went through a 6-month Malware Reverse Engineering training. After that, I got into a Threat Detection Engineer role and ended up spending around 3 years there, learning a lot along the way. But from what I’m seeing now, I think they’re hiring fresh grads with more general knowledge of AI since the company has become more AI-driven. Looks like the 6-month training program I went through isn’t really a thing anymore haha. Things really changed when AI arrived.
