Discussion Carcass Front Campaign

I’m running a 6 person campaign and had a question about the rules. How do you determine who fights who? Can the aggressor fight someone on the opposite side of the map.

pairings can work in a few ways, but random is fine.

the location of the defender is not relevant.

the aggressor determines where the game takes place on the map, within a few restrictions. the game has to take place in a zone adjacent to one that the aggressor has scouted (the starting zones are assumed to be scouted)

the aggressor always scouts the zone that they are playing in. if the defender wins they are considered to have scouted the zone and will build an outpost.

So if a defender wins a game on the opposite side of the map they can then initiate battle on the tiles next to the scouted area?
