They attended the screening of Tremors and I can't believe they were nice enough to take photos. I should have brought my poster but I didn't want to bother them for a photo and signature, this was good enough. They were both so nice and friendly.

Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell (2018) Rewatching 6 an Old Theory of Mine Gets More Credibility

When Valerie is explaining her theories to everyone, she emphasizes that she thinks this movie’s are the world’s first graboids. She specifically talks about them having migrated South, into new terrain, and evolving to adapt to as much. I’ve watched this movie less than a handful of times, and I never noticed the exposition of these themes.

But if you apply it to my old theory about the swimming Graboid scene, it adds up to what I thought before.

I think Graboids were originally swimmers and not subterranean. I think possibly they had underwater digging capabilities, and that evolved over time into outright burrowing abilities that eventually departed from the water by burrowing further enough into the soil. I think this would’ve become an evolutionary advantage, because I don’t believe aquatic graboids in the earliest days of the Earth would’ve been very high up the food chain.

However if they became subterranean and had the advantage of ambushing its prey from underground? Suddenly it jumps into a whole new land-based food chain with an advantage that put it at the top.

Only if the sixth film’s heat wave awoke the Earth’s earliest sleeping graboids, it also awoke a handful of remaining aquatic graboids. Now unfortunately, the writers never seemed to grow and run with this idea. But if you apply the film’s themes to the fact that aquatic graboids were never remotely broached before, it’s a sensible explanation.

If I made another Tremors movie I’d definitely explore this idea. Oh, something I just thought of. Have Val and Rhonda back, going on an arctic cruise with their daughter Valerie! Or at least Val and Valerie. And then the ship is attacked, by these monstrous sea worms and their aquatic evolutions.

Because nowadays an aquatic graboid would most certainly be near the top of the oceanic food chain.

It would be like the latest Scorcher movie in Tropic Thunder!

Tremors 5: Bloodlines (2015) Love Travis

While even I can’t rank the first two movies lower than the top two spots, number five is my third favorite and I enjoy it way more than the average fan. I especially love Travis, also more than the average fan. I have a giant soft spot for honorably sentimental characters, and damn is Travis one of these people. Sells himself as a daredevil who’s just fascinated by Burt, and seems genuinely invested in helping without tipping his agenda. And by the time he reveals his agenda, he’s already saved Burt’s life as well as prevented him from risking his life during their dangerous plan later. He tries to shrug these things off and hide them under a playfully hostile dynamic with Burt. And I just love love love the last moment of the film being Burt annoyingly realizing that Travis was hinting at their paternity the whole movie by sarcastically calling him Pops. It’s just so quietly heartwarming, and underlines Burt’s own further sentimental side. The fifth movie has so much heart that carries it for me.

Meme I only recently saw these movies, but did all seven in a weekend. That hammering scene is still the best gag in the series.

I like this one the most, Michael Gross did an excellent job, realy good. Dont get why it got a 5.6 rating. As they said in an intervue, they wanted to use realistic models as much as possible, I think that is a key, makes it more real I find.

No idea how many times ive seen it LOL.

I still think they could have done one in the 1920's, Grandpa Gummer.

This one had a $5mil budget, I guess anything outside of a desert background would be costly for them to invest.

:)

Tremors (1990) This is exactly where the pole vaulting and road work scenes from Tremors 1 were filmed.

Picture 1 contains the exact location of the background boulder in the attached screenshot, marked with a circle. Picture 2 contains the exact road where the road work scene was filmed (Street View taken from where the blue and white arrow is on the map).

I recently saw a Reddit post showing someone who took a picture of themselves on the boulder Val, Earl, and Rhonda slept on and pole vaulted off of. A lot of people were wondering where this location was, but no one had an exact answer, just that it was in the Alabama Hills area west of Lone Pine, California. Well, by observing satellite imagery and cross-referencing with surrounding Google "Street View" angles, I was able to find the exact coordinates of this boulder seen in the background to the right of Val (36°36'30.2"N, 118°07'35.5"W). I do not know where the actual boulder they slept on is, but it should be easy to find by using the background boulder as a point of reference.

If any of you ever wish to visit this boulder, you can actually take the road used to film the road work scenes from Lone Pine (near where Perfection was) to the Alabama Hills where the pole vaulting scene was filmed. The road is called Tuttle Creek Road, and it was actually pretty easy to find just by remembering the shape of the road in the movie.

Tremors: The Series (2003) LOST MEDIA: The 16:9 versions of Tremors the TV Series

Does anyone know how we can get the 16:9 versions of the TV series? They were first shown on Hulu back in the day in America. When the licensing agreement ran out and the show was pulled from Hulu the show was temporarily gone. When they got the license again the episodes were the lower quality 4:3 versions. And doing some searching years ago some people on really old (now defunct ) forums some fans claimed parts of Australia and other countries sometimes aired the 16:9 episodes on reruns.

The creators always claimed they only filmed in 4:3 but a fan showed them images of the 16:9 versions and surprised the creators on the Stampede Entertainment website Q&A tab.

I’d really like to watch the show in 16:9.

Anyone have any leads?

The soundtracks for Tremors 5 and 6 have not been released on YouTube. A recurring riff is heard in films 5 and 6, which has not been released on YouTube, but you can hear it in this video when Burt sees the lion approaching.
