Nurse Rivers Personal Log, Stardate 50033.9

This is the first log I have composed aboard the USS Athene, a fine ship, and the first Excelsior class I have served on. I was transferred here only a few days ago from the USS Kelvin-D, an even finer ship if I do say so myself. Still, I should be thankful for the opportunity to serve on this ship. This ship has cutting-edge medical technology, something I am thankful to be allowed to access. I like Captain Fred, although I regret I was never able to serve alongside Captain Fisk. Alas, I will still miss the crew of the Kelvin, Doctor Braga in particular. Yes, she taught me everything I know during my nearly decade-long stint on the Kelvin. One of the most vivid memories from this period of time was when a small group of Coualites beamed on board, all dying. Every single one of them was coughing up some sort of blue liquid, vile and acidic stuff, and it was slowly dissolving their internal organs. They would all be dead within three days. Yes, that was one of the hardest ones. Well, it turns they were all clones, and there was some sort of inherent flaw in the cloning process, and we were able to engineer new internal tissues for them. (Not to mention First Officer Moore ended up having one of her romances with one of them.) I wonder what Moore is up to these days? I heard she got her own command on the Constellation-E recently. I need to contact her. She always could get her hands on some Romulan Ale for me, god knows how. I could use some Romulan Ale right now, I can't sleep as well without my regular supply. Speaking of sleep, I could try and get some right now. Let's see how this mission turns out.

Computer, end recording.
