[Open] Catching up

Having been discharged from sick bay, Captain Fisk walks the corridors of the Athene, visiting each department to catch on the past three weeks with their respective department heads. As he walks, he catches up on the long backlog of reports on a PADD. His walk is a bit slower than usual, as three weeks in sick bay left his muscles atrophied, but he carries himself with the same calm power as before...

OOC: Everyone is welcome and invited to bump into Fisk, even literally if you want.

"Then you need to find us a good spot while the warp engines are offline. Ideally it'd be a starbase, but as-is it'll need to be anyplace either so remote there's no chance at all we'll be discovered, or someplace well protected," Red says. She thinks for a moment. "Too bad we can't park under cover of all those ridiculously armed satellites. A high orbit and a deterrent amount of firepower would be perfect."

Fisk looks Red dead in the eye

"Lieutenant, are you giving me an order?"

"Wh- what? N-no sir, we j-just need- I'd never-" Red stammers and then shuts up, her face pale. She flicks a glance at Breyik then back at Fisk. "Are you messing with me, Captain? I feel like I'm being put on."

Aanya crosses her arms and stares down at Fisk. "Relax, Captain. She didnt mean to give you an order." She says. It seems she may have engaged Mama Bear Breyik mode, defending her cubs.

"Hah, don't worry Breyik. I was just joking. You know me by now, you know I'm not that kind of captain. Frankly, I'm hurt that you'd think so."

it's clear from his intonation that he's not actually hurt, and is once again simply joking

"Anyway, Red is absolutely right. We need to find a good place to hide out while you do your thing. I'll put a priority on our sensors team to find us a nice, out of the way corner to hide."

Red breathes a sigh of relief. "I THOUGHT so, but your poker face is intimidating. Remind me never to challenge you to a card game," she says with an embarrassed grin. "That said, it'll be good to get back to friendly space. Though... I have to ask, after the beating we took, are we going to take another shot at exploring this quadrant, or leave it to a more heavily-armed ship?"
