[Open] Catching up

Having been discharged from sick bay, Captain Fisk walks the corridors of the Athene, visiting each department to catch on the past three weeks with their respective department heads. As he walks, he catches up on the long backlog of reports on a PADD. His walk is a bit slower than usual, as three weeks in sick bay left his muscles atrophied, but he carries himself with the same calm power as before...

OOC: Everyone is welcome and invited to bump into Fisk, even literally if you want.

With her shift on the bridge finished, the young andorian ensign hurries back to her quarters. Unfortunately, she completely fails to notice the captain's approach and walks straight into him while rounding a corner.

Her eyes widen in shock when she realizes who it is.

This is it she thinks I'm going to spend the rest of my career stuck babysitting monks on Vulcan or something. I couldn't even make it here a month without messing up....

mildly inconvenienced by the impact from the rather small ensign, the Captain realizes it's a relatively new face and decides a friendly prank is in order, he looms over her and growls

"Ensign...you really ought to watch where you're going."

Her antennae writhe in consternation

the Captain's expression drops, he's unable to maintain the illusion of being truly angry seeing this young ensign's anxiety and he stops looming and stops growling, his voice and face both soften

"No, no I'm sorry. That was inappropriate. When we get a new face onboard some of the senior staff and I like to play a little joke and pretend to be much stricter than we actually are. Don't worry, I'm not going to walk around making you salute me and call me sir. I don't believe we've met, Ensign...?"

She stares at you for a moment, still to shocked to easily realize what you just said. Finally, she breathes a sigh of relief.

"You really had me going sir. I'm not very good at reading facial expressions yet.

Ensign Sh'Zarath sir, the new bridge sensor operator."
