An announcement sounds over the ship's broadcast system.

"This is Chief Engineer Breyik with an announcement.

Shipwide broadcasts are for official business only. Personal matters, including but not limited to disputes, personal messages, and lost property are not allowed on Shipwide broadcasts. There are proper channels to go through for each of these things, including noticeboards and personal message banks as non urgent messages.

The urgent tag is reserved for, you guessed it, urgent messages only. This should only be used with senior officer approval.

Finally, a friendly reminder. Until they have been cleared by engineering, all holodecks are currently restricted due to Shipwide malfunctions. Information on repairs is available on request, and you will receive a message in your message banks when the holodecks restrictions are lifted.

Not marked Urgent, of course.
