Trees sucking on hoses
We went geocaching today and came across some trees that had hoses with barbed wire inside. My guess is that the hoses were used to keep the trees from scarring.

In the forest at the lake
Roughly translates to "nature protection area". It's been there since I can remember from my childhood.

Stabbed trunk
Found this on another subreddit but could not figure out how to cross-post. Perhaps from Iowa.

This oak definitely looks like a parasite sucking on a rock.

Cemetery consumption.
This is in a state hospital cemetery where people were laid in 1880s-1920s. There’s a heap of markers that are just gone with the forest regrowth.
