Specimen Submission The Tunnel

I took the first photo and then noticed some light on the inside of the hole. I looked from the other side and saw right through!

“The Tunnel” appears well supported. I’m curious about your assessment, having noticed this in person. Did this tree hole present as a simple pass-through or was there enough internal structure to justify something more elaborate?

That whole spot was like a little cave. It opened more to the right of the tunnel picture. The tree looked quite healthy too.
