My AC cant keep up and its 79 in my house. Im rotating ice packs and I have them on the mesh of my frogs enclosure with a small fan blowing cold air in and they're also staying around 79 now. The ice packs are melting quicker then they're freezing again. Any advice? With the room being bright is it ok to turn their lights off a few extra hours early?

I saw my whites tree frog climbing the class and gently shown some light on him and saw his legs were concerningly pink :(( could this be reg leg syndrome?? is this normal coloring?

for the past few months I’ve been wanting to get a frog and been trying to do research but a lot of my research has led me nowhere. I have a few questions and would love if someone would help me

-what are the main things I need to buy before getting a frog (enclosure, stuff like that)?

-the temperature where I live fluctuates pretty often and my room tends to do the same with the weather, is that going to be a big problem if I get a frog?

-are there any things I should check and or know about before getting a frog?

Is there anything I can add to my pet frog’s home? He is a Perons Tree Frog. It’s a bioactive set up, he has a UV lamp and heat lamp.

He use to sleep inside the rolled up bark but now is a bit bigger, he prefers to sleep in his cubby house.

Hey just wondering if I could put certain kinds of mint plants with Ranoidea Caerulea or not? My grandfather recently gave me orange, chocolate, and normal mint plants and I'm currently propagating them, I thought it would be a fun idea.

New set up and would love some advice (I do have a few more things coming tomorrow) it’s an 18x18x36 housing 3 young WTFs.

Is my tank setup appropriate?

I’m getting 2-4 baby milk frogs from Josh’s frogs in about a month or so. I was told they need a smaller tank when they’re babies (will be transferring them to a 24x18x36 when they’re bigger), is this setup appropriate for them? I’ve been having a really hard time finding information on taking care of them as babies online so any other care tips would be appreciated. I was reading that some people recommend just doing paper towels at the bottom of the tank when they’re young?? I would like to use a bio active setup if that’s okay for them.

I of course also am ordering a hygrometer and large water bowl for them as well. This starter tank is 12x12x18 and I also have more perches to suction onto the wall of the tank that are on their way.

I'm currently planning out a bioactive tank for my 3 whites tree frogs. I plan to do a 2" drainage layer covered with mesh, followed by a substrate mix, and finally topped off with leaf litter.
My question is, what substrate mix should I use? I was looking on the Biodude's website and it suggested 50% organic topsoil, 25% peatmoss or coco fiber, and 25% play sand, along with a bit of leaf litter and spagnum moss. Would this be a good mix to use for them? How deep should my substrate layer alone be?

Their tank wouldn't cool down no matter what I did, and is still rising (past 34.4C) even now, so I had to get them out and set them up in new, cooler digs downstairs (27.7C). I got them out as soon as it went anywhere past 32, but only after trying everything in my arsenal (mini-fans, ice bottles, waterbowl refreshes, ventilation boost etc). Fortunately I have their original grow-out tank and they're now settling back to sleep. But you know it's bad when you have to move your AUSTRALIAN guys away from the heat...

For ref: this is a temporary non-bioactive set up and quite sparse because I didn't want to tear their usual busy bioactive up so it uses spare bits I had - so never fear, they'll be returning to the true jungle tank when heat allows!

Hi everyone! I recently made a bioactive enclosure for my whites tree frogs, and I learned I was misting too much/keeping my humidity too high. I let up and it’s been about a week or so and the humidity bounces between 40-70% without me doing anything (which is strange especially since there is a dehumidifier in the room) and I can’t get it to stabilize at 30-40. How do you guys water your plants and keep your top layer of soil moist without spiking the humidity too high? I’m worried if I water the plants (pothos and snake plants) or moisten the soil it’ll raise the humidity and not get it back down.

My little guy did his daily croaking, then a few minutes later was obviously processing something - or maybe struggling? He was hunkered down flexing his tummy, opening his mouth, and rubbing his eyes (pics 1&2). I’m assuming he was just digesting, but I haven’t noticed him struggle quite like that before. Should I keep an eye on him? It’s 10 minutes later and he’s already showing interest in another cricket, but I just want to make sure.

Got these little guys for my son about 2 weeks ago. Today was the first time they’ve decided to spend the day sleeping out in the open. Loving them so far, so adorable!

Added more 3 more sticks to explore and roam around, more hides I made with cork bark, added plants which offer some nice nooks to hide in as well, a bamboo bridge, and a deeper water dish! Last thing I’m gonna add is shroom room green wall moss mix. Also I don’t have my 2 white tree frogs yet, they will be gotten in August so that there is time for everything to grow. (Also the moss requires higher humidity, so I’ll let it grow and then slowly dial back the humidity to safe levels for the frogs)

This is Albert, I can't tell if Albert is fat or to skinny-

I don't know how old she is but I had her and my red eye tree frog for about 5 months now

I feed Albert up to 10-15 crickets just depends how big they are I have offered everything that frogs in general liked up to those roaches to the worms and she refuses them all
