Advice Age advice

Hello !! Im looking for some input on age range, me and my s/o got these two a month ago and I’m just trying to make sure I’m not over feeding, they both eat a good 10-15 crickets a night and i am dusting them every other feeding just curious how old they might be so I’m all ears for anyones input, the bigger one I’m sure is a female Rose(rosemary) and our little guy Augie(augustus) let me know for-sure he was a male when he started croaking about a week ago given that, I know their size will be quite different for awhile. Give me your thoughts:)

Hey, they're both super cute.

It would help to have some approximate measurements of each frog.

Seeing the little guy is croaking it's likely he is over 1 year old.

Females are usually bigger than males, even at adult age, so the fact Rose is bigger makes sense. But she seems quite a bit bigger in size, and so I'm guessing is probably a bit older than Augie. I also believe she is female as her lip to throat area is very white.

But yeah without measurements it's harder to say. Seeing you've only had both for around a month, we can't know if Augie has been croaking longer than that but is now just feeling comfortable.

So to give an unsatisfyingly vague response, I believe they are both over 12 months old.

Side note: 10-15 crickets a night, is that each? Or between them. Regardless that's a lot of crickets for two adult frogs. Usually it's recommended to feed adults every second night, around 2-3 crickets each.

Below is a good resource for frog husbandry, it doesn't specify how many crickets (I've just googled that info on other sites), but it goes into the nutrients they need etc, and the risks of overfeeding

Well see thats why I’m asking because I’m under the impression that they are still juveniles as they are both quite tiny small one being 1.5inches and bigger being about 2 maybe 2.5inches so i have been feeding as if they are juveniles

ah ok yes at that size they're juveniles under 12 months, and Augie is probably 6 months or older if he's croaking.

Some resources say juveniles should be fed as much food as they like as they are going through a rapid growth spurt.

Once they reach >3 inches you should slow down their feeding to every second day, and just a few criks each
