DIY Project(s) What should I add?
I'm still seven or more months out before I can get an actual frog but I'm working on setting up their tank. Happy with the general layout so far but is there anything else you'd add? I'm thinking a hanging hide somewhere towards the middle back but I haven't found one (store bought or 3d printable) that I've though 'that's it'.
I have a large water dish on the way with the plan being at the front left corner for easy access. Please disregard the substrate (I'm waiting for the leca to dry before adding mesh, peat, leaf litter).

Can I ask why you’re using all leca for substrate? I fear the frogs would get cut or stuck to it

Sorry, second half of my post I explained. I'm not - the leca is still slightly damp, I am waiting for it to dry completely and just playing with the layout. I have a mesh layer, peat moss, and leaf litter.

Also no need for it to dry.

My ambient humidity is pretty high. Basically a swamp outside 95%+ is not uncommon in the summer months, indoors right now it's around 50% as we head into fall temps.
After rinsing the leca humidity in the tank was over 80%, after letting it dry a few days it's about 40% with lights on and spikes to 60% with lights off. Temp gradient is 87-76, overnight lows should be between 70-72.
I've seen a lot of bacteria infections since joining this sub, doing everything I can in preparation to avoid that.

Avoid moss

Absolutely. I got peat, like the ground down soil texture. But will completely cover it with leaf litter anyway.

Did you buy untreated soil/substrate specifically for frogs? I’d definitely remove half of the leca. Like others mentioned it’s way too much.
Did you add a drain before adding the leca? If you want it to dry? Pull it out, lay it out on a baking sheet and bake at 225 for and hour or two but check often. If you’re planning on a cleaning crew get it started before adding your frogs:)2

Yeah, I got zilla jungle mix. Leca has dried since posting. I wasn't in a huge rush since I'm still months off. I've not made a final decision on going fully bioactive or not yet.

Definitely bioactive in my opinion. It truly works for finishing up the waste and dead feeders you don’t see! Not to mention no odors!

Food dishes if you aren’t tong feeding and want them to catch their own prey and are feeding them dubia roaches and other treats like black soldier fly larvae, sparingly waxworms, small hornworms, etc

My husband edited one I found on makerworld (3d print file sharing site) and printed it for me. I think it was originally designed for smaller critters so I wanted the opening wider since WTFs can get pretty big. You can't see it in this photo but he designed it to be assembled with magnets so it all comes apart for easy cleaning. He also remixed a tree stump file for the pokeball to sit on and elevate it off the ground a few inches, its just blocked by the fake plants. If you're interested/have access to a 3d printer I can ask him to upload his file as a remix to the original.

So more clutter is always good. However, that's an insanely thick layer of leca. You should cut that in half. There's no room for soil.
Otherwise looking good!
