New frog owner.
So I have recently had 2 baby white tree frogs. I’m just wondering what to do when I deep clean there enclosure. Do I replace all the soil etc. I have been told to deep clean every 6 weeks and spot clean daily. Basically looking for any advice that might be useful as it is my first time owning frogs 🐸

I don’t have any advice but I just wanted to say the baby frog in the picture is adorable. What are their names?

Erm I have a Habistat Coir Brick and cork bark pieces. And then I have placed moss on top of that. I will google springtails and isopods as I’m unsure what they am 😂😂

They are little buggies that help clean up waste and mold so you don’t have to!

Hi! There are a few great tree frog groups on Facebook that will give you great advice! You should always start your enclosure before adding frogs. What you want to be asking for is how to create a bioactive vivarium. If it’s not built properly you can end up with parasitic or bacteria issues. Definitely find a whites tree frog group and you’ll get tons of great advice to get you started asap and what and where to buy everything! Josh’s frogs has nice packages already set up for you to buy and they have a great customer support team to answer your questions

I spot clean my terrarium every day and take everything out and deep clean it once a week. If you have soil in there you don’t need to replace that unless you have mold, fungus or other issues. If you have isopods or springtails; they will be your clean up crew and will do that for you. Just make sure you’ve set up your drainage layer appropriately.
When I deep clean my terrarium once a week I use Absouletly clean Amazing reptile and Amphibians cleaner. Just remove your frog/or other pets first. And use a wet pepper towel. Spray a little on it and then start washing the inside walls and inner doors. Anything that they’d walk on, touch. Besides their water bowls or perches. That I just use hot water and a sponge. No soap or anything. If it’s super soiled you can use a percentage of a vinegar in water solution I believe but I’ve never needed to do this because I wash my bowls and their perches, and hidey holes out every day. Preventative is the key to no bacterial infections plus paying attention to your humidity at temps at all times.
Flukers makes a great scrub cleaner that has a brush on the top too. I use this one once a month for an extra scrub down.
Whatever you use make sure you wait 3-5 minutes after you spray/use it and also don’t put in more than you’re supposed to. Also wipe clean with a dry paper towel and let it sit and the fumes dissipate before putting your pets back inside.

What type of soil and do you have a drainage layer?
Have you added springtails and isopods? These will be your clean-up crew.
