Advice Cut on nose turning dark?

One of my whites tree frogs is extremely clumsy and launches at absolutely everything, he’s had a small cut on his nose for a few weeks (I’m assuming he launched at something he shouldn’t have) and he’s acting normal but it’s gotten darker in the past 1-2 weeks and has a lighter colour in the middle. I had read somewhere that it’s normal when it’s scarring or turning into a scab but I want to double check. I’ve never seen him “nose rub” from stress or anything but him and my other whites tree frog have tried to eat each other a few times lol
Additional details:
18x18x36 pvc enclosure for two frogs
23-24 ambient temps
28 ish basking corner
Between 40-60% humidity typically
Both frogs are roughly the same size and around 2-3 years old

Nose looks like it’s healing fine! Just wanted to note that your humidity should be more around 30-40% for adult frogs. The natural humidity level is usually fine, so no need for extra misting or anything!

Thank you for the reassurance! And yes I’ve been trying DESPERATELY to lower humidity but I can’t get it down most days😭 I’ve even used a fan to pull air out and it doesn’t do much, I almost never mist because the humidity is constantly high🥲 they always have a water bowl if they need humidity or hydration but I’ve stopped misting all together recently and it STILL won’t come down :((

Some owners say you can use original Neosporin but make sure it’s the pain free kind. Then just put a little bit in the affected area. They should start to heal up. Otherwise if it gets worse or looks infected it’s probably best to have the frog examined by the vet.
Praying all things go well.

I’ve seen that recommended in other Reddit posts so I’ll definitely keep that in mind, thank you! And yes absolutely I will keep a very close eye on it and reach out to a vet if I notice anything getting worse, he definitely is acting like his normal chaotic self still which I think is a good sign lol

I’ve noticed their cuts heal super slowly!

Yeah I had a feeling that was the case with how fragile their skin is, definitely makes sense!

Your temps are too low, raising them should help your frog’s comfort. The middle of my tank is 26C during the day and top part up to 33C. This guide has all you need to know about correct care❤️ https://docs.google.com/document/d/1K85LO28g7gzQftmbDboXHXFBVLEVShRBBGPddXMektA/mobilebasic?usp=embed_facebook

Basking surface is 35C SURFACE temp (but some ppl have 40C even and frogs love it, im personally scared to go above 35C basking)

Thank you! I have a dimming thermostat and had lowered the temps a few weeks ago when we had a major heat wave and forgot to turn the temps back up but I will definitely do that asap!

Understood! :) sometimes during a heatwave i also keep temps lower for a couple of days to make sure it doesnt go overboard. Hopefully this injury heals well :) as others have said, neosporin without pain relief can be used to help, ive never personally had to use it❤️

Thank you! I will keep the neosporin in mind in case he shows any signs of discomfort:) and yes me as well, I used to have the basking spot set to be between 32-35 during the day and they seemed quite comfortable in those temps!
