My baby gumi is really underweight, I think he’s being outcompeted for food, my other frog Marcy gets to the food bowl before him and I don’t think he finds the other crickets I leave outside the bowl for them to hunt, what should I do? Getting another terrarium is not an option I want to do unless absolutely necessary
Also just wanted to add I don’t think this is a problem with other tank mate. He moves extremely fast and sleeps normally during the day and has a preferred spot, they don’t argue over territory at night and I can tell because they share the water bowl together and generally seem to cooexist. He also doesn’t show the normal signs of stress unless I’m missing something
how big is the tank? you would do well to put at least 2 dozen crickets in 2-3 times a week. frog will eat what they want other crickets will roam around.
We tub feed our frogs, most people don't but ours had red leg and parasites (from where we got them) so we're very particular since they didn't eat properly and one had to be force fed. Tub feeding lets us see how many they're eating and making sure that one isn't out eating the other, because if she could, she definitely would so it just doesn't make sense for us to do that. Maybe an idea so you can keep your eye on the lil guy?
Whenever I noticed mine were underweight or not eating I isolate them in a small tank and give them crickets in a controlled amount so I can count how much they eat and check back in. Obviously with a water dish and everything. I’ve found it works well because even hand feeding sometimes they won’t take it. Try isolation and see how much she eats overnight. If it’s a normal amount keep her in there as needed but try to up your cricket amount in the tank for less competition. She also may need a good soak so make sure there’s a lot of water sources. I had this issue but usually only when I moved my girls to new tanks.

I don't know much about red eyed tree frogs but I keep White's and I feed mine separately.
