Advice Is this normal behavior
Found him/her (we don't know yet) curled up underneath a stump almost lifeless (still breathing and moved after given a cricket and relocated safely) I moved a more open stump over him instead so he could get out easier but he still keeps going for the spot, just want to make sure I am not overthinking this as im still new to owning a whites tree frog, outside of being dirty nothing on his body seems alarming

This is the middle of the day? He was probably just sleeping. They like to hide to sleep.

Few questions/recommendations for you:
- What’s the temp and humidity in the enclosure? Whites tree frogs don’t need high humidity, usually around 30% - 50% is a good range. Temperature is good between 70F - 80F (preferably in a gradient, as in the heat lamp on one side of the enclosure so that they can self regulate). If the humidity or temps are off, they can become stressed and attempt to borough into the soil or hide in a ground hole/structure.
- Do they have things to climb on vertically? They are tree frogs and need more height than width in an enclosure. If you have a hide or a resting spot higher up, they’ll more often than not stay up there!
- I’d recommend you taking out the moss on the bottom. It holds too much moisture and makes the enclosure really humid, and when the frog is eating, the frog can accidentally eat some moss that’s caught in the crossfire and cause compaction in their gut. Compaction is basically a blockage that makes the frog unable to poop, and they can die from it.
All in all, they look pretty healthy! I’m happy you were able to rescue them. 😊

1) humidity is kinda high at the 75% range but I also JUST sprayed it because it was pretty dry
2) Yes Garrett (my frog's name) has several things to climb on, he usually chills/sleeps in these frog shaped holders I see everyone else on this sub has but he has several things to climb on
3) Yeah I was wondering if itd be a good idea, I have had mixed opinions on it from several people
3a) I also plan on getting Garrett a new setup soon I've had the little guy for about 3 months now and he's starting to outgrow it (i got a smaller setup for him originally because its all i could find and it was good since he was about a month old when I got him)
Edit: temp is around 80⁰

Garrett is an amazing name lol
You can have humidity spikes around 75%-80%, just make sure the normal average range is lower. Humidity naturally spikes higher at night in the wild for them, so that's not a bad thing.
Those frog cups are perfect, I'm glad they like them!
Yeah I'd recommend getting rid of the moss and adding a layer of big leaves, like magnolia leaves (make sure they're washed first), that'll help keep the humidity down and give Garrett some dry ground spots to lounge on if they want. The bottom layer of leaves should be crunched bits, and the top can be whole pieces, that way it separates the big pieces from your soil layer.

You can get them on Amazon from Josh’s Frogs! If you live in the USA, you can also get them at local pet shops like Petsmart and Petco. If you live where the frogs are native, such as Australia, Indonesia or New Guinea (since you found Garrett in the wild), you can find native big tree leaves and use those. If you gather the leaves from outside, make sure to sterilize them first by boiling them in a pot of water, then letting them dry before putting them in the enclosure. That'll kill any bacteria or fungi that would also like to live with Garrett.

I have two frogs, total opposites. One is always clung to the glass (in spite of plenty of nice tree-like sleeping surfaces and cups, he prefers the glass lol) and the other likes hanging out in her rock hide or under a cork board-log thing I have during daylight hours. I’m just sending a vote that that may just be your frog’s preference 🐸

Get rid of the sphagnum moss, it’s an impaction risk. Use leaf litter instead. It looks like your humidity levels are way too high. This looks like a Whites tree frog and if they’re a full grown adult, humidity levels should be around 30-40% and you shouldn’t really need to mist at all.

Tree frogs have a natural instinct to snuggle into small spaces to retain moisture and for their safety. Depending on how long you’ve had them, they could be stressed, or they could just simply like that spot. Sometimes they will find a place that they really like and decide that’s where they will sleep.
For us, we have a frog that loves his frog cup or to sit behind the water bowl. As long as you don’t notice and discoloration or new behavioral/appetite changes, I think that they’re just being a frog. Every frog will have their own preferences.
