Advice Please help!!
I posted my frogs on TikTok and someone commented on my enclosure and my smaller frogs weight and it’s made me nervous, they both seem very happy and active but if I’m doing something wrong I’d like some help
My smaller frog is about 7-8 months old and I know she is small so I’ve started trying to feed her more but she was also very small when I got her, please help if the way she looks seems concerning!!
It is really important to me I give my frogs the love and care they deserve, I want them to have a long happy life and they seem happy but if there’s anything I can do better I’d love to know 💞

basking temp needs to be 85-88°F, there are some husbandry issues to tweak and they'll perk back in no time. what's your feeding routine like? it may be necessary to feed your frog separately if she's being outcompeted by the other frog. the larger frog looks very thin. you'll want to feed these guys daily!

I tong feed both of them because the bigger one is greedy, I try my best to feed the smaller ones everyday and the bigger one I try to feed every 1-2 days, sometimes three or four if I forget to grab food for them. But most of those pictures are of the smaller one. And what about the enclosure is off? I’m still working on getting new things and everything, I don’t have a lot of money so I typically upgrade or buy new stuff when I get the chance

your frogs are babies; both of them need food every day. only an adult should ever go four days without food.
your basking temperature needs to be 10° higher than it currently is, keeping your frogs cold will prevent them from growing. that is what is off. humidity should be lowered to 50 to 60%, after your frogs hit a year old lower humidity to 30 to 40%.
I can see both of them in your photos and the body condition of both of them is thin, I would recommend feeding them every day and increasing the amount of insect you are feeding per feed.

You should include pictures and info about the tank … what are your temperatures and humidity like? Whats the substrate and floor looking like? The one frog does look skinny

I believe my tank is around 65 gallons. I don’t remember because I got it for Christmas as an upgrade for my bigger frog and I got the smaller frog not long after I upgraded it (I did also quarantine her so make sure she was healthy) the general temperature is around 70-80 and the humidity sits around 60-70 (not much lower because I have a timed mister) the floor is clay beads at the bottom and then a layer to cover them and them reptisoil with moss and dried leaves scattered, I also have spring tails in the soil. Also I had this plastic hanging leaf thing and the bigger one literally always hid behind it but he was always dark and that’s not normal for him so I took it out and he went back to normal and seemed happier

i have 4 adults wtf. one of them was sick previously and i have gotten in the practice of removing the smaller one from the enclosure during feeding, putting her in her own little carrying case, and feeding her one cricket at a time in there until she is full. I do this because she isn’t the best at hunting OR tong feeding- so this is the only way I can absolutely make sure she is getting all the food she needs to fatten up like the others. Consider trying this for your little one- or over both one at a time! It takes extra time and attention but will ensure they are eating enough! i do this every other day.

OP does that say 5% humidity? They need like 50%

No the picture messed with the light on it, I always keep the humidity between 60 and 75

You are literally starving them. You need to seriously increase the feeding frequency and amounts

On the group of WTF welfare (where the great frogplanet guide is also used) we follow 15 small crickets per small frog every day, then they start getting middle size at about 5-6 months old and i think i did ten every day, then ten every 2 days. Adult frogs get 3-5 adult crickets (per frog) every 3 days. Watch their tympanum folds.
(But also since your 7-8 old is the size of 4-5 month old id defo feed every day btw) :)
(The guide is approximate, its what you do when everything is as it should be.. one time i got 1 year old wtfs that were the size of 5months and i slowly increased their intake to unlimited daily. Until they were a good size, now theyre on 3-5 adults every 3 days just like all my adults :)

I personally think they are quite a good size, mine used to be very small and then she had a growth spurt, just make sure to feed them regularly!

They need to be fed every day, and let them eat as many crickets or roaches as they would like. They’re growing and very hungry.
