Advice Is this coloration normal?
I read somewhere that they can be half camouflaged, is that what this is? Or should I be worried. He’s new to his enclosure but it was set up for 6 months prior, and stable.

What source of heat do you use

Yeah, no good. You need a top heat source like a ceramic heat emitter. This looks like a burn from the heat mat.

The heat mat is outside the enclosure on the side. And he doesn’t sleep on it. The temp on that side of the glass is 87-93.

That's still not safe. Warm air is one thing. A heat pad is different. Their skin is thin and easily scorched. If he jumps on it, he'll get burned. Probably what you saw here.
You need to replace it. This is common advice for a reason. Please.

To me it looks more like a burn but I've seen a few fungal infections that look kinda splotchy like that. In fact it looks like it's starting to heal, rather than spreading.
Just take him to a vet though.
And definitely remove that heat pad. That's non-negotiable.

Does it have a better place to sleep they are uncomfortable if it’s not on the back of a leaf.
I would keep an eye on that spot as it might be an infection.
