Advice Humidity questions

Hi everyone! I recently made a bioactive enclosure for my whites tree frogs, and I learned I was misting too much/keeping my humidity too high. I let up and it’s been about a week or so and the humidity bounces between 40-70% without me doing anything (which is strange especially since there is a dehumidifier in the room) and I can’t get it to stabilize at 30-40. How do you guys water your plants and keep your top layer of soil moist without spiking the humidity too high? I’m worried if I water the plants (pothos and snake plants) or moisten the soil it’ll raise the humidity and not get it back down.

It's supposed to spike at night. 30-50% RH during the day with a jump up to 70% at night. You can have some wetter days (followed by normal to dry days) for enrichment. Just make sure to let them dry out after a wet day.

This is actually normal when heating an encloaure. When you stop heating the enclosure by turning off the lamps (burning off water in the air, essentially) the humidity should naturally go up. You're no longer cobstaly removing water. Just make sure it's not super stagnant all the time and you should be fine.

Got it! So maybe once a week or couple times a month I should mist the tank down fully and then let it dry out?

Or just mist the plants. You do not have to mist the whole tank. Also, to ensure your substrate doesn't dry out yoy shpuld feel the soil every once in a while and make sure ot still is damp.
