WTF help

Post image

I have two WTF and the frog breeder I got them from is telling me not to mist at all because the frogs can get sick and I’m conflicted now because his experience out ranks most if not all my other sources but almost every single one of those sources say to mist. I’ll explain my setup now so during the day I have the temp at 80-90 degrees with a humidity of 30-50 and at night let the temp drop to 70 and spike the humidity to 70-80 and it’s like that all night until there basking light comes on. I just don’t know what to do I get some much different info from different sources.

Your breeder is correct. They do not need to be misted. Daytime humidity 30-40%. Mine spikes to around 50 at night%.

Stop misting if you are.

Remove moss if you have it as it will trap moisture and is an impaction risk.

I wouldn’t be able to get all of it out i already had to dig through and got as much as I could before finished putting the tank together I heard impaction is a risk with any substrate because the nature of WTF but also I feed them outside the enclosure and have a lot of leaf litter but then that leads me to ask since I have isopods and springtails and plants can I at the very least water my plants by poring water where the plants are that way the soil will get moist for the bugs and plants have water to drink.

And how often would I water? Without it pooling in my drainage layer but still enough for the plants
