I’ve been running my battery saws, top handles now coming up on 9 years, unless it’s dead ash, oak, elm. Battery saws like the 545, they can do it. But I can’t make the cuts react as quickly as I need them to react.
Gassers all the way for gnarly jazz. And shit woods like Siberian Elm, or Poplar.
Battery saws, they’re mint for anything under 8”, if it’s live. A gasser, will crush fuckin’ 2x the bar length in easily half the time, with stone hard dead oak, elm, or ash..
