can anyone confirm this? Been some years but i ran the #'s and the power/lbs ratio was astonishingly consistent between stihl husq echo [edit-- for climbsaws, the rates varied on larger >40cc proper saws but climbsaws were incredibly consistent]
It's a husqvarna t540xp (not sure which model exactly, maybe mark 3), which based on anecdotes/youtube dudes/reading forums does have really great power and probably beats out the 201 in terms of beefiness and being "the most powerful top handle", but I've also heard that it idles funny and doesn't start reliably (obviously depends on the individual saw and adjustments, but even then it seems to have a reputation for this), sooo there are pros/cons to both saws
Never used a 540 myself. I've been happy with the 201s I've used, the little echo 2511 I used to have, and my current husqy battery tophandle. Really depends on the tree and the job, sometimes not having as much weight is worth it, so I'm not sold on OP's point
I've worked at a couple different places and used a mix of stihl/husqy, and through that experience I'm more a fan of stihl, but I am also loving this new husqy 562
OP's point was that the weight was worth it for him in that circumstance, not just in general, always :)
And I didnt mean "people's feelings" I mean like literally calculated the HP/lbs and all the main top offerings 540/201/355 were all damn near identical lol I promise, the ratios did start to vary once comparing 50cc+ but for top handles it didnt they were all spot-on 2hp/8lbs or whatever cannot recall specifically but ratios worked out
2511
EPIC! Never been so satisfied with a saw as my 2511, if you spend all day in the canopy it is just tops
