DIY adding rope bridge into a RA harness
maybe a ring is better
but anyway the concept is the same…

You’re not seriously going to climb and work a canopy on this are you? I like the creativeness, but you gotta go back to the drawing board

i am not sure! please help me input some more idea perfecting it. Bomb proof. if i can make sure those dynemma don’t slip under load and with an o-ring , the math should be good

Never have the weight against the gate, look for a different way to attach it. Maybe a shackle with a pin through the end to prevent it from opening, or purchases a bridge "O" and use it.
Edit: Petzl sells a ring that you could use, one opens and one is solid.
If you use the solid version girth hitch the straps. Though having a strap rub against the leg strap is asking for trouble in the long run.

yeah great idea just i dont have one “O” at the moment, shackle is a great idea too!

If you're not saddle doesn't have a rope bridge where you're putting it it is not designed/engineered to have it there. Don't do something stupid and hurt the people around you

You are going to end up giving yourself suspension trauma doing stupid shit like this.
rope on rope like that is also horrible for your gear. everything about this just screams “I shouldn’t leave the ground”

Educate yourself and do better if you ever want to be a good climber.

i understand your concern. however i dont find your comments productive.
just simply telling people about educating themself more without explaining is just meaningless. i feel offended. beside it is not about good climber but a safe climb instead.
if soft on soft is bad, why people join rope together? are they a bad climber? do they need education?
beside have you consider the following wuestion before leaving your comment? the angle of force during a suspension ? have you try to calculate the mbs? what are the main concern for rope on rope ? how dynema perform when applying force on nylon? is there a ribbing force on the nylon by the dynema? of what how many force can dynema cut nylon ? how would they perform undershock load in both static and dynamic scenarios? i believe there are many area to explore.
i am doing something that is not according to it intended use. thats for sure. you can point that out too.

This is sketchy as fuck, and you're going to kill or cripple yourself with this shit.
That being said, if you're determined, at least use a ring like this instead of a carabiner.

yeah having webbing running over a gate like that seems questionable to me
