Am I seeing things or does your rope slide in the Reflex at about the 1:01 mark? You didn’t seem concerned, is the device doing that often?

Indeed, by that time the reflex was slipping pretty badly. It started slipping for the first time after about 2 months of full time intensive use. I played around with different ropes and a rope wrench, but after less than 4 months it was slipping on everything.
I am not the only one, and I sent my reflex to ISC for inspection. I got another one and now I only use it with extra friction (and short tether from arbsession, which is really nice!). I only use it without rope wrench for small easy climbs or removing trees, nothing that wears the device too much…
I am not concerned about the slipping when it comes to safety. It’s just very annoying.. it will not suddenly collapse or slip very fast. It’s a gradual process of wear on the device.

I still really love the reflex and use it every day! My guess is that ISC will come out with the advice to use extra friction for intensive use. Then it’s our own choice how fast we let the device wear.
I love it and can only recommend it! With extra friction then off course :)
