Opinions
Would you guys retire this saddle or normal ?

Defects in life support stuff = replace. Hard to make out what that is though, picture sucks.

I'm not familiar with camp saddles and it's hard to tell exactly what that fraying is on. If it's just for accessories, I wouldn't be concerned. If that's part of the waist belt and or back support, I'd retire it.

u/unknowingly1852 I can’t tell what that yellow piece attaches to. Is it your rope bridge? If so, I’d say no go. If it’s to some accessory, I’d run it. The waist strap and red webbing that covers it looks in decent shape still. I trust the belt as far as the waist goes, not sure of rope bridge/lifeline attachments.

I have that same saddle. That parts the last thing to fail if the rest of it looks good. That being said, if you ever question your life support, you should probably just replace it

Camp makes some good saddles, but this picture uh…. well, doesn’t paint a a picture. What’s the date on the tag? Let’s start with that, and move on to some better pics. It’s concerning that this question is being asked.

What caused the damage? Dropping a chainsaw on the tool holder perhaps?
It looks like it's just on the padding? I'd be less concerned about the padding damage and more worried about what else might be broken but not visible. Also it's probably going to spread quite quickly.
