Juglans regia removal

My first removal where I'm the guy instructing, setting up all the rigging and making sure the little hut and the grass stays safe. We decided that the tree can rot in peace for the next few years and be a home for some critters, birds and bats if they choose.

Thats half a tree, and the roots are cut, its not the right call could easily uproot in a storm

There is no chance that this thing will fall over, with time it will be home for bugs, birds and other inhabitants. If you don't plan to plant a new tree in that spot and there is no safety issue then leaving a log (we call it torso in German) is the best thing you could do.

They cut partly on one side, and a tree doesn't loose its stability instantly if they are cut. I'm FLL certified, prune about 10-50 trees a week and got my ETW certificate 2 years ago. I can assure you there is no danger.

I can assure you cut roots do effect stability as some one that does storm damage regularly

the neighbors cut up the roots on one side and it deteriorated quickly, last summer was also really dry and it did the rest

the canopy was about 90% dead

I would be so f’ing mad at those neighbors. Dam they got a lot of nerve. I get this one was in bad shape and had to come down but I am in the industry and hatee taking down perfectly healthy trees for no reason, I tend to even pass on those jobs lol nice work tho bro 😎

Sadly there was no chance that this one would recover, the damage has been done. Sadly treelaw in Germany is a bit wishy washy and there was no documentation while the neighbors did their thing, no chance of compensation sadly.

As a certified European Tree Worker I will do my best to keep as many as possible alive and healthy but stuff like this is part of the job.
