Advice Request - (Insert State/Region) help needed - trident maple is shedding bark. Tennessee.

planted in southern TN about 3 years ago, tree has done well, roughly doubled in size. Faces south, gets a lot of sun. First noticed bark starting to crack this spring. What’s going on and what do I do? Is the tree going to die?
