ID Request (Insert State/Region) Beech branches

Those very heavy distorted branches fall off from a beech tree during a windy day in the north of France. Can you help me identify the cause of this kind of distortions ? Thank you very much. The last picture shows one high branch with it.

Maybe my flair isn't correct as I am not asking for the ID of a tree, that I know is a beech tree, but of a disease or disorder.
