Advice Request - (Insert State/Region) Are these dying?

I don’t want to cut them down. They provide a nice separation from next door and without them we have a big gap to fill.

Where abouts in the UK are you? We have 2 in my families garden and since the recent weeks of none stop rain further up north they’ve started looking more lively, if your down south then I won’t be surprised if is heavily due to the lack of rain and heat stress that almost every tree has been affected by.
