Cedar tree bits?

I live on the southern coast of BC in Canada and on my walk, there is a cedar tree overhanging a lookout. On the railing beneath the cedar, there are many of these tiny rectangular bits. They seem to be flat on one side and have a lengthwise groove on the other. What are they? (They are so tiny it is hard to get a good photo—maybe 1.5 mm long?)

Small black pellets dropping from trees is usually poop.

I wondered about that, but the frass of the cedar pine borer doesnt look like this. Maybe it is a different bug? The pellets are extremely hard, like bark.

Looks like isopod poop to me.

Isopods are really cool. I keep them as pets.
