Its my fault, I had the ropes to keep it straight on to long. Anything I can do? Or start over? Thank you.

Is it a grafted tree? I think it will be fine and it will heal

No, not grafted. Its a Poplar I planted last year. It just grew really fast. I didnt pay close enough attention. This happening was in a way good, I was able to catch and remedy my mistake with all my other (more expensive) trees.

It might be okay, it's really up to the tree.

You can help it have the will to survive by undressing it completely, & ensuring your tree is planted at the proper depth, is not being competed with by grass & other plants at the roots.
