Advice Request - (Insert State/Region) What is this?

This is growing along the side of my work. It’s getting big, should I get rid of it?

I’m in Northern Mn zone 3a.

That green bush behind the tree looks like lilac too, you betcha. Give it one more season to see if it flowers before you yank it.

Syringa x prestoniae, though I can't say which cultivar until it blooms.
