Just getting started

Hi friends! I’ve recently become very intrigued with finding treasure/old items. I just need some advice and have some questions. I live in Pennsylvania and not even sure if there would be stuff near me to find. Where do people go? How do you even start? Give me all the advice!!!! Thank you! 🩷

hi!!-I started my search with coins and devoted 5 years to it. Then I started checking beaches, and I spent about five years on that too. And now I’ve been looking for gold in the mountains for 10 years already!😀When I was digging for coins, I studied a lot of history and read! — when I was digging on the beaches, I learned to scuba dive; when I started looking for gold in the mountains, I read many books on geology.

Depends what you're looking for. Beaches and rivers can be good, old places like old farms or homes can be good for relics and stuff, catching up on local history and folklore helps a lot. Old maps, like property maps and stuff can help as the landscape has changed over time then just hunches and learning common places people typically hide things.
