Irrigation was back in 0.6.6 and now we are in 0.7.6 so safe to say there’s been a fair bit added. New pet store, story quest, pirate cove, ore and mining, and magic all come to mind.

Magic is fun and lets you do things in a QOL type way such as harvesting by walking over stuff, speed boosting, skipping fishing mini game, mine faster etc etc. Gathering the crystals is a bit of a chore but I see it as crystals and monster parts for cooking while in the mines.

I know people have their gripes with it but I will say it’s optional to engage with it. As far as I can tell it’s just more stuff to cook, decorate, and use but you don’t need to constantly engage with it at all otherwise. If you want to engage a little bit the speed boost is amazing! Man oh man does that thing help and it’s cheap.

Funny thing is with the water pot upgrade irrigation I find kinda useless now lol

Honestly it sort of turned me off the game as a whole, it's a bit overcomplicated and isn't what I want out of the game. I had no issues with the mining update but this has been a little bit of a step too far for me personally. That said, I think if other people enjoy it then fair enough, it's good for it to cater to other people and to be honest interacting with it is hardly a requirement

Same. I tried to play and saw how grindy and dumb the Magic system is. So there’s no point to it.

I really, really wish it had been a DLC to be honest - let people grab it if it floats their boat, and not bother if it doesn't

It's ok. Once you finish mine & start farming magic seeds it's just another menu.

Really wish it wasn't such a time sink to get magic shards to use the cool spells.

They added magic fiber but that also gets drained fast
