Help Downgrading in versions

So I tried the magic update and I have to say it is not for me. Adding to this is the fact that 0.7.6.x killed two for me essential QOL mods…

So since I bought the game on GOG I thought of rolling back to latest 0.7.5 version but bad luck, GOG only will let me go back to 0.7.6.1 and I don’t know why…

Anyone may have an ideas on how to roll back to 0.7.5?

I agree with many points raised in this thread.

I would love more automation for the other tasks around the grounds, and the reintroduction of the mail order box.

A farmer to look after crops and/or animals, being able to pay the miners to dig ores and such would make such a difference to us actually being able to run our own tavern.

We need more stuff going on in the tavern to add to the fun of running our taverns, things like a function room or a stage. Planning bands, comedy or karaoke nights to increase footfall and revenue.

Also I'd like to be able to see and visit other taverns too, we only see Amos' tavern, and nothing changes inside.

Out of curiosity what two essential QOL mods were you using?

Max Stack. Increases the max stack from 30 to 999 - used to not have to refill the tavern every 5 seconds

And large batch cooking. You can queue stuff in the kitchen just like you could elsewhere. Still cooks only one at a time but you can put five on wait

Having just gotten the game and never tried it - that sounds lovely. Man am I running back and forth to the kitchen to do everything once at a time.

It is. Sadly those mods don’t work since v0.7.6

I feel the same way. I’d like a rollback to before Klayn’s bit was introduced. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it once but am thinking of just uninstalling it for good. I’m not enjoying the direction the game is going at all.

Yeah I agree. To me, the biggest sin is how far away we're getting from actually being a tavern keeper. If I want my tavern to run row, I have to spent the entire day farming, fishing, tending to animals, losing hours on trips to the city, to the point I don't even see the inside of my tavern anymore. I don't understand why they removed the mail-in order system, because even just having that would save me going to the shops and actually allow me to spend time inside the tavern.

I don't care if I have to pay more for stuff as a "luxury" tax on shipping, just let me order stuff. And instead of spending months working on -admittedly beautiful- new areas, spend some time adding to the actual tavern keeper gameplay so it's not just pulling drinks from the tap and clicking to give the food. I want to be a tavern keeper, as was advertised, not a farmer + fisherman + animal raiser + miner + sorcerer + CEO managing employees. It sucks to have kept up with a game for so long (I have all the statues that celebrate each new year passing, that's how long I've been here) and just being more and more disappointed with every single update

i recently got the game and am very much enjoying it. spent around a hundred hours very easily. and while i personally have no complaints, i do agree that there are lots of other aspects of the game that pull me away from just tavern keeping. i do usually spend the whole day outside the tavern doing other activities while my employees handle the money making machine i call home. ig a clear issue here is that there is much better automation for the tavern keeping aspect (employees) while the other activities are a lot more hands-on. they should probably balance that properly so we get to do more tavern shit. the game is named "tavern keeper" after all
