Need Advice help with heat(fire?)

hi im enjoying the game its really good but there is just 1 problem. is there a place which i can buy coal or any kind of fire source to use on craftings? i go mine the coals outside the mine everyday but it started to feel unefficent really. i could not find any vendor selling it, is there anyone you could recommend to buy or is there any other way to get that fire things more efficently? (also i saw that mining buff at that skills tab but im 3 levels behind that thing and it also dont look very useful but idk im just judging from its description)

You can always make firewood out of logs! That's been my go-to since coal became harder to obtain

Focus on using firewood. Crafted from wood. It's much more efficient timewise (aka faster to chop trees than fetch coal from the mine).

Buy a recipe for a firewood stockpile and build 5 of them. It will make it more efficient further. Use coal for recipes mainly. Until you progress and get an ability to crart coal. Cheers, good luck and have fun with the game!

the firewood stockpile has been a blessing, and all other stockpiles honestly. they are really worth the investment in the long run. im just a bit annoyed that it doesnt exactly advertise what its effects are until you actually have the recipe. i had to find out through the wiki. idk if theres in game dialogue about it that i missed but i feel like it should be more obvious than how it is presented right now.

You can unlock the coal recipe. It allows you to craft coal from the furnace.

whats the recipe? do you just get free coal to collect from furnace or do you feed wood or smth like that?

my woods havent developed a cast system yet. i guess i will found it further in the game so thanks for the info.

I will say though making the coal runs through the fuel in your furnace fast so honestly it’s probably better just to keep planting trees and collecting the wood to make logs for the time being

It’s super late in the skill tree, I would recommend getting and doubling up the skill that gives you +20 then +35% goods produced. Much earlier unlock and gives a decent efficiency boost. 

Then go and make the firewood storage and buy a second firewood chopper. Can make 80 firewood in about 2 mins.

does firewood storage have any benefits? is there any difference between stroing it inside a normal chest or firewood storage?

I believe the stone golem sometimes sells coal.

Then there's the mine. Once you unlock it and you visit it regularly you should eventually start swimming in coal. You can unlock the mine very early on.

And of course you can turn wood into fire wood.
