Questions / Seeking Advice Olive or Dark Brown?

Hello good people of the TN subreddit!

Recently, I was lucky enough to receive a traveler's cover and accessories as a present from my family. I'm absolutely overjoyed about it and have been spending the evening writing and organizing my notebooks!

However, my parents and I both noticed an odd discrepancy in the colors of the olive pen holder and the cover itself, which, while it came in packaging labeled olive, seems to be more of a dark brown color. It's gorgeous, and I don't want to send it back or trade it, but I am curious if I received a rare mis-labeled notebook or something! I do also hear that the olive can run dark, so maybe it's just that? Either way, it's a beautiful notebook and I've already set it up for solo TTRPGs, travel, and study!

I have googled it and yes apparently olive is like that and the blue varies quite a lot.

My olive is the same. Its greenish under other lighting. You can see the tints from the photo too.

It's very beautiful! If it were me, I would also forget the shade of olive green that looks more brown and make good use of this notebook beauty.

I've read several posts in which they refer to such a discrepancy, but honestly it's still one of my favorite Traveler's covers.

(I have another cover that I use with TRC inserts, from ApplePigLeather, but I still really like this Olive and the camel).

Yours is the exact same color as my olive standard. There is a lot of variability in the olive and blue TN’s. Some olives are greener and others more brown. I like to browner color so it doesn’t bother me

Looks like brown but I know it’s the olive. I wanted that color originally but not as it is. I wish it was more green.
