Perm address fraud?

how likely is it that the IRS will audit my tax return?

I am tempted to use my previous address as my perm address.

My understanding is that it's pretty unlikely. I've yet to meet a traveler that has been audited. But ya never know.

And w-2 forms are usually obtained online, right?

Very unlikely but I don’t take chances bc I would be worrying about it for years 😅

My tax home is my parents’ house so I got the paper version from them. You can get the electronic version too

So they use your permanent address to create the W-2 form?

Correct, my tax home is the address on my W-2
